Come learn about a piece that was written to commemorate the opening of the Coventry Cathedral in 1962.  An avid pacifist, Britten intersperses the traditional Latin mass with nine poems by Wilfred Owen, a soldier killed in World War I, about the horrors of war.  Written for large orchestra and chorus, it is a historical event that is not to be missed.
